The Wandering Moose Cafe is a family operation run by Cumberland locals, Bill and Lisa Ransom along with their daughters Meghan and Autumn. With thirty plus combined years in the hospitality industry our goal is to offer quality products in a friendly, quick and efficient manner for people on the go or with time to just sit back and relax in a beautiful part of history.
Located in the Historical Post Office (built in 1907) on the corner of Dunsmuir and Third Ave, our ambience is open space with an emphasis on being chiild friendly (designated children's play area) and featuring a comfortable lounging area for curling up with a magazine, newspaper, book or just chatting with friends and family. We also have free internet access and a variety of board and card games available for your entertainment. The cafe also features outdoor seating for those nice sunny days.
We offer specialty coffees made with coffee beans supplied and roasted by local Royston Roasting Company, Mighty Leaf teas and other beverages including smoothies, sodas and gelato floats. We are also featuring locally produced Binino's Gelato by the scoop and in larger take away packages. Our food menu consists of locally and home made baked goods, breakfast wraps, daily soups, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, pizza and other features. All of our food and beverage items are available for in house or take away. We also feature some retail items, such as our specialty coffee beans, wandering moose clothing, travel mugs, coffee cups and our popular cozy cup warmers.
The Wandering Moose Cafe is available outside of our daily operating hours for anniversaries, birthday parties, staff parties, special events and meetings, featuring an overhead projector with a 12ft screen and great sound system perfect for power point presentations, slide shows and videos, along with Nintendo Wii game playing capablities.
